This delightfully messy art camp is designed to be a colorful & creative experience filled with art, sensory play, art making and age-appropriate art exploration as well as few instructed projects. This child-led session encourages curiosity, creativity, imagination and critical thinking - all while having a blast! You can expect different stations with creative, process-based art projects, water play, non-toxic playdough, nature-inspired activities, and more! Each one of four Art Play camps is unique.

SELF-EXPRESSION IN ART:
Drawing, Painting, Printmaking
9:30 am - 1:30 pm
Come to camp prepared to learn more about your personal relationship with art. We will explore the world of aesthetics and what goes into art making. Our time will be divided between the classroom projects and sketching/painting outdoors. Students will learn about the fundamentals of art, drawing techniques, color mixing, paint handling, and more. The subject matter may include portraits, landscapes, still life, and/or anything that strikes the student’s interest. A range of media, art forms, and inspirations will be explored including drawing, painting, printmaking and sculpture! Engaging projects are organized so that students are working on a similar theme, but with freedom for each to be creative and add their own ideas.
