Play-Doh: Alebrije Rabbit
Alebrijes are brightly colored Mexican folk art sculptures of imaginary creatures that have elements from different animals such as dragon bodies, bat wings, wolf teeth and dog eyes. Join us as we travel to Mexico City to get familiar with the paper mache crafter Pedro Linares who created the alebrijes in 1930s, get inspired by the coroful fanastical (fantasy/mystical) toys, and let your imagination run wild. Working with play-doh is very soothing, not to mention that play-doh is very helpful in exercising fine motor skills and strengthening the small muscles in fingers and hands;
The class size is limited to 5. Registration is required. Checks or cash is a preferred method of payment for this class unless you are paying for a group. If this is your first time, the Covid-19 Liability Waiver and the registration form will need to be completed and signed before participating in class.
